Our Student of the Month for Compass is Brittany G.!

As a single parent returning to school after several years, Brittany exemplifies the spirit of our Restore community. Originally from out-of-state, Brittany faced numerous challenges with navigating a new living environment, in addition to the complexities of re-enrolling in college on her own.

Although the transition back into academic life was initially intimidating, she quickly learned to advocate for herself, utilizing available resources and support that has built her self-esteem along the way.

College Navigator, Raymundo Bautista Jr., notes that Brittany consistently goes above and beyond, contributing positively to classroom discussions, taking on leadership roles in group settings, engaging in extra research to enhance her understanding of the material–all the while being the biggest cheerleader for her fellow peers.

Brittany also boasts an exemplary attendance record, having not missed a single class all semester! You rock, Brittany!

“What sets Brittany apart is her remarkable resilience and determination. Returning to college as a single parent demonstrates her commitment not just to her own growth, but also to setting a powerful example for her children.”
