Today marks a new weekly series for #RestoreEducation!
Moving forward, every Monday, we’ll highlight a new Student of the Month (#SOTM), representing one of the four pillars of our programming: GED, Workforce, Compass, and ESL.
For today’s inaugural post, meet Sofia:
Nominated by her instructor, Raymundo Bautista Jr., in our College Readiness & Support (Compass) program, Sofia has demonstrated “outstanding dedication and resilience” to her education, as a member of both the National Adult Education Honors Society (NAEHS) and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
With the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse, Sofia’s ability to balance rigorous coursework with her aspirations in healthcare underscores her exceptional potential and determination. Whether she is taking an active role in class discussions, leading group projects, or her consistent perfect attendance, Sofia’s journey as an international student is truly inspiring!
Way to go, Sofia!
“As an international student, Sofia has gracefully navigated the challenges of studying abroad, while consistently excelling academically.”
– Compass Program Staff, Raymundo Bautista Jr.
