Javier enrolled in Restore Education back in 2009 at the age of 17, so that he could earn his GED while he attended San Antonio College. He completed his GED in 2011 as well as earned several college credit hours. Soon after, Javier joined the US Army and served for 4 years. He returned to San Antonio and completed his Associate’s degree in 2016. Next, he worked closely with our staff to transfer to Texas State University, where he just completed a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Javier’s long-term goal is to become a physical therapist, and he just got a new job as a PT technician! Now he is able to better support his two young daughters while he prepares for graduate school. Javier recently said, “The dedication and determination from this program and from Mr. Rhodes changed my life.”

“Words cannot describe how proud I am of our students… Their resiliency, dedication, and determination is unmatched.”
