Gulnaaz Shares Her Gratitude
Gulnaaz’s commitment to education is evident in her consistent attendance and willingness to devote extensive hours to her studies, often arriving for class early in the morning and remaining until late in the evening. Just recently, Gulnaaz earned her High School Equivalency (HSE) credential!

Elma is the Ultimate Peer Cheerleader!
Elma is a mother of three daughters, as well as a passionate advocate for education. Since enrolling at Restore, Elma has successfully passed three of her four GED exams and is preparing for the math test! As her confidence has grown, she now looks forward to helping her daughters with homework as they progress in school.
A New Milestone for Meiber!
Meiber recently passed the Mathematical Reasoning portion of the GED – a challenge that has made her nervous for months. Instead of letting fear hold her back, she faced it head-on, even encouraging a fellow classmate to schedule her own exam. The two ladies then went together and BOTH passed!
Cassandra is Preparing for College
As both a student in our College Readiness & Support program AND a first-time mother to a six month old infant, Cassandra exemplifies what it means to be resilient, dedicated, and self-motivated. Recently, she enrolled in community college here in San Antonio, and begins next semester!

Make way for Mary K.! Mary came to us via our Wood Window Restoration apprenticeship program and has been taking Business Communications and Digital Literacy classes at The Neighborhood Place. She is excited to have overcome recent challenges and looking forward to rejoining the workforce and achieving her goal of independence.
